Did you hear about the bazaar at the Church of God? I saw posters for it all over. I work in the city, but I live in NJ. I still saw posters and cards everywhere I went. I happened to pick up a card in the restaurant Burgers and Cupcakes on ninth ave and saw a number in the back. I didn’t call the number, but the name of the church was familiar because someone stopped me while I was shopping at the Plaza Mall one day and asked me if I had ever heard of the Mother God in the Bible. At the time, honestly, I wasn’t trying to hear it. All churches seemed fake to me. But I like bazaars and fairs, so I went.
Actually, when my friends told me about this church, because someone spoke to them too, they said it was a cult. However, when I went to the Bazaar, the people didn’t seem cultish at all! In fact, they were all so…happy.
There were a few stands where the people all day were so cheerful. I got there at around 12:30 and stayed to the end since there were alot of performances, too. All the way till the end of the day, even when they extended the time to finish the people never stopped smiling. I found that to be pretty impressive.
